inmu FAQ

How can we help you?

What is inmu?

inmu is a multisensory cousin that develops melodies and vibrations in response to its highly sensitive motion sensors and advanced artificial intelligence (AI).

What’s the difference between the three inmu?

Each inmu has its own specific universe: the inmuRELAX transports you into a bubble of relaxation and self-awareness, the inmuJOY takes you into a world of awakening and magical notes, and the inmuRYTHYM takes you into a world of tempo and discovery. For more information, please visit this page.

What are inmu’s technical specifications?

BATTERY: 3-hour charge for 3-week autonomy.

MAINTENANCE: the cover is machine-washable at 60°C. To facilitate disinfection and thus sharing of the cushion, you can purchase a hygienic cover at the following link.

WATER RESISTANCE: inmu is not waterproof, but it is splash-resistant.

How do you properly introduce inmu to a child?

When introducing inmu to a child, it’s important to always keep in mind the idea of a positive experience. As the cushion is intuitive, many children will naturally take an interest in it. If this is not the case, here are a few techniques to facilitate the integration of inmu:

  • Work by example: we suggest you use the cushion yourself to show children that the experience is positive, fun and relaxing. This will attract their attention and stimulate their curiosity: they may even want to try it by themselves!
  • Divert the situation: we suggest you ask the child to hold inmu while you perform a task: he’ll have a moment to examine it on his own, in his own bubble, without the pressure of being subjected to something new.
What to do if the child rejects inmu during the introduction?

It’s normal for a child to reject inmu during the introduction: it’s a new object with uncommon sensory characteristics. If a child displays an unwanted emotion during the introduction of inmu, we recommend that you remove it and start the process again a little later. A child may appreciate inmu at first try in one context, but not in another: observe and adapt your approach!

How do I use inmu?

inmu is an intuitive cushion with no buttons: just move it and the notes will begin to flow in rhythm with your movements. If you move it gently or are passive, the notes will adapt to your state of being. On the other hand, if you’re dynamic and active, you’ll immediately notice that the music comes alive and follows your movements!

Can inmu be used by all children?

Absolutely. inmu is designed to suit all children, whatever their age, whether they live with specific challenges or not. In fact, it’s a great tool for children with special needs, such as those living with intellectual or physical disabilities, anxiety disorders, ADHD or autism spectrum disorders (ASD), since its versatility of use enables it to adapt to the child’s abilities and state of mind.
