WHOGA® is wheelchair yoga with the same underlying intention of other yoga practices. Yoga’s intention is to utilize breath awareness to unite the physical, emotional and mental body while bringing balance and peace to an individual’s life. WHOGA® is wheelchair yoga specifically designed to enhance movement for the chair bound or physically limited individual. WHOGA® is designed to bring about personal peace and harmony. Movements or postures are modified to encourage participation at all levels. In this video, Jeannette leads you through a series of poses and postures designed for the beginner to increase strength, flexibility, and coordination. Jeannette demonstrates breathing techniques, which enhance mind-body awareness and overall well-being. Jeannette guides you through an optional meditation to install inner peace, joy and harmony. This DVD also includes a separate instructional section for activity and group leaders.
